Another important part of this is being aware of your body and what is normal for you. People who have periods are more susceptible to certain cancers such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer.
It is very important that you do routine checks to make sure you are healthy. This includes checking your breasts, and attending regular smear tests. It also includes being aware how you feel – are you feeling more tired and depleted than usual? Has your appetite changed? Are you in any pain?
