Our Primary Level Workshops:

Bloody Amazing is a teacher-led social enterprise, who bring a range of experience, and experience in working with primary 6 and 7's around menstrual health and puberty, in line with the Rights of the Child.

We offer a full day workshop (5 hours) aimed at primary 6 and 7 pupils.

These include:

  • A pre-meeting with your school to discuss your needs/further personalise your experience. For example, whether you have young people with various faith backgrounds, sensitivities or additional support needs.
  • Access to a comprehensive online course on female anatomy
  • Attendance at a promotional event (school fayre, parents evening)
  • Delivery and materials associated with workshop
  • Working with staff/young people to establish a period education/dignity committee.
  • Examples of period products and a "first period pack"

Our primary level workshops are designed for those who have either not yet began to bleed, or have recently started bleeding. These full day (5 hour) workshops facilitate a safe space with icebreaker activities and an opportunity for questions. We will bring the experience to life by answering most common questions we get in a practical manner, which encourages active learning. We will explore anatomy, puberty, what to expect during your first few periods, an introduction and handling of period products, with a focus on sustainability.  We will also explore safe adults to talk about menstrual health with, what might not be normal during a menstrual cycle and where to go for support.
