Bloody Amazing is a teacher-led social enterprise, who bring a range of experience, and experience in working with primary 6 and 7's around menstrual health and puberty, in line with the Rights of the Child.
We offer a full day workshop (5 hours) for primary 6 and 7 pupils and for all stages of secondary.
These workshops include:
Our secondary level workshops can be designed for either learners in the Broad General Education, or for senior phase. Designed to build on our primary workshops, but just as good as a first encounter with menstrual health education.
Complimented with an online course covering anatomy, this full-day (5 hour) workshop focuses on learning about the entire menstrual cycle (not just the period!) with a focus on self-care for each phase of the cycle. We will explore some period myth busting, explore period products, with a focus on sustainability, what a ‘normal’ period looks like and an introduction to some common conditions associated with the menstrual cycle, such as endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome. We will also look at hormones, their impact on the body and the role of contraception in pregnancy prevention and management of unwanted associated symptoms of menstruating, including how to speak to your doctor about contraception.
