Our Secondary Sexual Health Workshops:

Bloody Amazing are a teacher-led social enterprise, with a wide ranage of school experience. We offer a full day workshop (5 hours) covering aspects of the Relationships and sexual health curriculum.

At Bloody Amazing, we are fascinated about menstrual health research. As we know, menstrual health – particularly periods – are still a taboo subject in many areas, but menstrual cycle awareness and confidence can have amazing additional results, such as improved self-esteem, less risk taking behaviour and more awareness of pregnancy prevention. We offer an amazing full day workshop (5 hours) which explores developing a values system and healthy boundaries, looking after yourself in terms of sexual relationships and menstrual health, consent and factors that can impact someone’s ability to give consent, an introduction to sexually transmitted infections/diseases and how to avoid them, as well an introduction to contraception and its purpose outside of pregnancy prevention. This is delivered with a selection of resources which enable young people to look at anatomy, explore the result of sexually transmitted diseases/infections and explore the use of contraception during sexual activity.

Workshops include:

  • A pre-meeting workshop meeting with your school to discuss your needs, including cultural and religious sensitivities and consideration given to additional support needs.
  • Access to a comprehensive online course on the female body
  • All materials associated with the day provided
  • Attendance at a promotional event (school fayre, parents evening), iif required.
  • Delivery and materials associated with workshop

" I'm so pleased with how it went thank-you so much. You did a wonderful job and are clearly mega informed. These girls lives range from middle class to suburbia to chaotic addict parents and the risks many of them take means today was invaluable in knowing how to educate themselves. Also' I think it's good for them to see older women(not old), who are teachers and non teachers talking about these issues and relating to them and asking them about experiences. We are really thankful for all you did."
