Anyone with ovaries can get ovarian cancer, whether they have had a baby or not, but it most commonly impacts those over 50. It is one of the cancers that is less obvious to spot and so it is often diagnosed late. Ovarian cancer symptoms usually occur quite frequently, so they are not a one off. They include having a swollen tummy, pain and tenderness in your tummy or pelvis, needing to pee more often and feeling full, even if you haven’t eaten or very quickly while eating. Symptoms generally need to occur more than twelve times a month for ovarian cancer to be considered a risk, as these symptoms can present with many other problems in the body. Other symptoms of ovarian cancer can include constipation or diarrhoea, back pain, feeling tired or fatigued and weight loss.
